Stamps for RNIB and Selling your Old Stuff
Dear Lovely Archers,
We get asked some strange things things from time to time; but, thankfullly, mostly about archery technique, sometimes about fitness, always about our beginners courses and at other times about who we reach out to, and here's just a few: one not so different and another that might be something you'd be interested in supporting.
Supporting the RNIB
One of our archers is keen to support the Royal National Institute for the Blind by collecting genuine used stamps... you know, the sort you put on the letters and parcels that you might send. There are some stipulations but it's all on the RNIB website. If you have some hanging around please can you bring them down to the Club, on a Saturday, and give them to our Carole, who will be very happy to take them from you.
Nearly New, Used or Old Equipment
We all do it... We buy something that we really need, only to find out later that we didn't really. Arrows are a typical example but other pieces of archery equipment fit the mold too. If you have something that you'd like to move on, please just bring it down to the club and make an announcement. We do state, however, that if you are buying anything from an archer at Wymondham Archers we do not guarantee the safety or suitability of the equipment purchased. This would be an agreement between the seller and the buyer. But we do encourage our archers to take the time and review that they are getting the best deal possible and sometimes other club members can give that.
And that Field
The field at the Rugby Club is a little soggy still. We need to pray for a little sunshine. And we need to be careful what we pray for. But nevertheless, things are moving on. You'll see from the picture below that the shooting shed has a new window and big hole for the new door to be fitted. All very exciting. The signage too, is at last fitted on the side of the container.
What a week.
Happy Shooting.
