The Moon The AGM and more

Well, we shot to the moon...

And for some of us it was a very long way. Archers reported that during the day, for those who did the entire thing, as many as 8 or more miles were walked. Somewhere near 250 miles was walked between you all, whilst you were shooting to the moon. The weather was against you all and still, you carried on and eventually at around 5pm in the evening, you made it... The Eagle had landed - and our target was reached, well and truly to the Moon. A fabulous well done to all of you that took part and thank you to all of you who are reading this and donated to Nelson's Journey and our little archery club - we are hugely proud of you.

That AGM...

The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Monday 19th August 2019 at 19:00 hours inside the Rugby Club at Barnard Fields. Please come along and support the Club. Your vote is needed as we have a number of important issues to discuss and agree upon. As you know, amongst many things we will agree on our Club Subscriptions for the forthcoming year, and this year we have a clear breakdown of how your funds got spent, how the Summer and Winter fees are funded and how we intend to meet the demanding future that is coming our way. Your Vote Is Needed - Please Come Along.

And you can let us know you're coming along by clicking here and logging on to Facebook

You can view the minutes from the previous AGM here. And you may recall that we had an EGM during the year, the minutes of which can be viewed by clicking here. If you would like to nominate yourself for a post, you will need to get it seconded by a Club member. Please email the Club Secretary.

Other stuff...

Getting in the Coffers...

Now that Shooting to the Moon is over, the hard work of getting in the sponsorship must be pressing on you. Please do your best to encourage people who pledged funds for you to give them up so you can sign off your part of the day. We would love to be able to bring along some folk from Nelsons Journey during September to be able to present to them our efforts. If you find you are having difficulty chasing folk please let one of the committee know.

Getting the lines painted

The field is looking a little untidy at the moment. Our distance lines, shooting line and waiting line are in need of a spruce up. The club has purchased a line painter and we are seeking some kind soul who would be willing to take on the position as official Line Painter If you feel you have the patience, the accuracy, the time and the energy to be the Club Line painter then please email me so we can discuss what is expected etc.
